USES:
Arm
Chair: This is a very important tool in
the life of a V.A. The proposed working chair must be comfortable enough to
prevent any physical strain to any part of the body after prolonged use.
Because the V.A is likely sitting on this chair a greater percentage of his
working hours, It is advisable to have a comfortable chair which conforms with
the computer being used.
Computer: This is the main equipment in the
online industry. It is used for various duties which include: Writing, editing,
transcribing, etc. The computer must be capable of running at a speed
acceptable for the smooth execution of the work required. The choice of
computer speed should be able to meet up with the software which may be
installed in it to facilitate work as time goes on.
Fax
machine: The use of fax machine in the
duties of a VA is important as most clients’ requirements might be sent in form
of fax; in addition, communication through fax makes some documents more
legitimate in this business.
Printer: Printer as one of the output
systems in a computer is necessary for any job done. You surely would need one.
Internet
Connection (modem):
This is a major communication aid in the existence of a VA. The internet modem
is a prerequisite for any VA in other to accomplish his target. This is the
gadget that connects a person to the World Wide Web, where you connect to other
computers, communicate with clients, bid for projects, send email messages, and
many other things available in the online world.
Headphone: This will be needed when the VA
engages in jobs that require transcription of audio or any other task requiring
listening and communication via voice messages/chat on the computer
Note
books/writing pads: Note books and writing pads provides the VA
with a ready drawing board to execute most jobs. Organizing your work will
require jots and inscriptions on the pad when needed.
File
jackets: As every other office in an
organization, file jackets are used to differentiate different engagements and
properly arrange various projects accordingly. This is to avoid mix-up or
confusion in the cause of work.
